Description: Sr20933 8/7/20152:07 pmlarge oak tree in the middle west side of the property had large limb fall off tree onto my property which is located at 902 victoria street, staying attached to the tree which is located on 818 victoria street. i went to the neighbor the following day to let him know the limb had fallen, while over at the neighbors i could view the base of the oak tree from his side and it appeared to be hollow, i told him he need to tend to the tree immediately that it looked like it had root rot, he agreed and advised me it was the second limb to fall since he purchased the house july 2013 and he said he knew he was going to have to do something with the tree. i suggested he contact a tree cutting company. he asked if i would be home the following night to let me know what he would do to take care of the limb that was in my yard and on my fence. he never came over, so the following weekend i started working on the limb myself, cutting it and having it taken with yard clippings. now i am at a point the tree is too thick for me to handle, i cannot cut anymore of it and the neighbor has not helped with any of it. i sent the owner a certified letter, which he did sign for, advising him, i was going to contact code enforcement that the tree had been neglected and it did appear to have root rot and had the potential of falling onto my house and other surrounding areas of my property causing damage and due to his neglect he could be held liable for the repair of such damages. i am requesting code enforcement send a representative out to view the tree and confirm the tree needs to be cut down and due to his neglect he would be responsible for damages done to my property if it falls. i have two pictures of the limb that fell into my yard, but had to remove as much as possible due to the danger of it falling on my daughter, dog or myself, now all that is left is 20' piece of the limb that is resting on both our fences. help if possible please.contactregarding contact cynthia hurtfirst name cynthialast name hurtphone number 813-769-7020mobile number --email address [email protected]
