Description: Str13-04623 i received a letter dated 10-22-14 on or about 10-25-14 in regards to the dept. of code enforcement not receiving a certificate of completion on a room addition i had a contractor do for me. i contacted this contractor and was informed he was on hospice, with stage 4 cancer. he informed me the certificate had been turned in. i called today 11-6-14 and talked to matt in code enforcement, and he informs me of two things: 1: the original building permit was in my name and my wifes name (not his name) 2: that there are four months worth of fees totalling 860.00 dollars (not 215.00 dollars the letter states). i was not the general contractor for the job, nor did i know permits were put in my name. ***see activities
