Description: There is a large oak tree next to 47 s prado ne. the large oak abuts 47 s prado and extends partially in the alleyway between 47 and the house next door. several years ago it was noted that the base of the tree had rot in it. at that time cement was put in the base of the tree to keep out water and to slow the rot in the base. i recently moved into 49 s prado ne and learned of the problem. one of the neighbors told me the history of the tree and expressed concern that the tree is dangerous and could fall onto their house. i consulted an arborist who told me that the tap root of the tree is most likely rotted and that the tree is dangerous; the arborist recommended that the tree be cut down. the tree also within 10 feet of 47 s prado ne and i understand that such a tree qualifies to be taken down if dangerous. i am the president of 47-49 condominium association on whose property the tree is on and request permission to have the tree cut down.
